A graduate of The American Jewelers Institute, Karen has worked with precious and semi-precious stones for over a decade. Karen is a Jeweler that excels at custom design and is located between Seattle and Tacoma, Washington.

She can provide the settings of your choice for any of her gemstones in stock, or work with a stone that you may already have, or she can order just what you want, and create from there. She can travel to meet you for a consultation, and together create just the piece you had in mind.

Karen’s Philosophy

We do not even need to limit ourselves to gold and diamonds; everyday silver, and beads, and Swarovski Crystals are also beautiful and unique. Natural gemstones have always intrigued me – the look, the feel, the composition within each stone. Their quality brought forth thru shaping, grinding, and polishing to bring out its inherent character. Cutting and soldering the Gold and Silver to display these marvels of Nature. It is just so exhilarating to have this all come together from my minds-eye, and create a thing of beauty. Beauty is all around, but it sometimes takes creativity to make it most apparent.

Either way, I would enjoy helping you obtain the best value for your jewelry dollars. If you have assumed that you could not afford a personaljeweler; I think you will be surprised at how cost effective creativity can be.

Setting stones in pre-casts settings does not, to me, express the individuality of the jeweler or of the buyer. To my mind, that “cookie cutter” approach also does not fully enhance the beauty of the stones.
